Mandala Thangka With Gold Leaf

Hand painted thangka using mineral pigments on sized cotton, following the sacred proportions laid down in Buddhist texts. Fine gold details catch the light and deepen over time. Each thangka is painted slowly, layer by layer, by an artist trained in the lineage of the Kathmandu Valley.
