Our Heritage
Three generations of Nepali artisans, one promise: every piece made by hand, made to last.
Since 1999
Where the Craft Began
Lotus Silver Gold began in a narrow workshop in Ramkot, Kathmandu, where three generations of the same family learned to hammer, solder and polish metal by hand. What started as a stall selling simple bangles has grown into a small collective of silversmiths and goldsmiths, but the method has not changed.
Every piece is still cut, filed and set by a single artisan who signs the back of the work. We work in recycled sterling silver and solid gold, and we buy our stones and pearls in small lots so we can trace where they come from. We do not chase seasons. We make the pieces we can make properly, in quantities we can stand behind.
- 925 sterling alloy, annealed and hammered, never cast
- 18k vermeil over sterling, or solid gold where the piece calls for it
- Surfaces brushed by hand, so each piece keeps its maker marks
- Stones and pearls bought in small lots so we can trace them
